The Resting Women

A series in oil on the same human gesture — a woman at rest — carried across cultures and rendered in saturated, sculptural color. The sequence is anchored by its namesake, Chromatic Woman, and reaches outward from there. Each canvas measures 48 × 60 inches.

The collection’s namesake and anchor — a study in deep tone and repose, the figure carried by emerald, vermilion, and gold against a patterned ground.

Rest told through a Japanese visual vocabulary — cresting wave, cherry blossom, and the warm fall of a kimono.

2026  ·  Oil on canvas  ·  48 × 60 in

The series at its widest reach — feathers, turquoise, and a distant encampment framing a single, quiet moment of stillness.

More works join the collection as they are photographed to museum standard — the series is conceived to grow into a full survey of the figure in repose.

Curatorial Roadmap

Digital Exhibition Strategy

The virtual museum is not a brochure — it is the validating infrastructure that precedes physical institutional recognition. It is built to grow toward, not assert, blue-chip standing.

IEstablish

Catalogue & Capture

Museum-grade photography of every painting populates the gallery rooms. Each work gains a placard, dimensions, and provenance. The museum becomes the single authoritative reference for the collection.

IIValidate

The Curator's Voice

An independent curator or art historian contributes a catalogue essay, replacing placeholder placards. Third-party scholarship is what converts a website into an institution in the eyes of the field.

IIIExhibit

Rotating Online Exhibitions

Themed digital shows with limited runs and invitations create event and scarcity. Each exhibition seeds press, mailing-list growth, and a record of curatorial activity.

IVBridge

From Screen to Wall

The digital exhibition history becomes evidence in proposals to physical museums, university galleries, and corporate collections — and a companion piece to the documentary and the published memoir.

VConsolidate

The Standing Collection

A documented exhibition record, provenance trail, and scholarly writing form the credible foundation from which valuation conversations can responsibly begin.
